04421565 7822 Locality. 13 miles up Cameron Highlands road from Tapah. Perak. 1100 ft. Remnant of primary hill forest by roadside, sloping ground. Tree 4-0 ft. girth 18". Bark mid-brown, scaling or anooth in parts. Inner bark pinkish. Lvs. spirally arranged at branch tips, to 2 ft. long, dark glossy green above, paler below, usually with terminal lflet. 6-7 pairs of lflets. Frt. in supra-axillary spreading or pendulous spikes, bright pink. Pericarp white inside , tough. Seed partly enclosed in aril, which is beginning to turn orange.
