Locality. 13 niles up Cameron Highlands road from Tapah, Perak. 1100 ft, Bemnant of peSlpry MU forest by road- side, sloping ground. Tree UO ft, girth 18". Bark mid-brown, scaling or «sooth in parts. Inner bark B pinkish* ' Vie spirally arranged at branch tips, to 8 ft long, dark glossy green above, pètes below, usually with terminal *4T' Iflet, 6«? pairs of lilets. Prt in aupra- ' axillary èpvèidlng or .pendulous spikes, bright pink. Pericarp white inside, tough.
