Tufted perennial grass.
Loudetia grassland on very stony soil derived
from rocks belonging to the basement complex,
but black cotton soil is locally prevailing.
Kefa Region: 2 km north of Dima along the road
to Aman and Mezan Tefari, 800 m. (6° 30' N,
35° 04' E).
