SA The New York Botanical Garden Plants of BOLIVIA Euphorbiaceae Sapium DEPTO. Santa Cruz, Prov. Vallegrande, 2.6 km (by old portion of road) N of center of Muyurina, along highway from Mataral to Vallegrande, along now dry Río La Ciénega, near the bridge. 64WSn?l alt. 1655 m. Broad valley bottom, with a few pools of water. Grazed, arid scrub with Harrisia tetracantha, Opuntia, Cleistocactus, Prosopis alba, P. kuntzei, Ephedra triandra, Achatocarpus. Willow-like small tree 9 m. tall, 15 cm. in diameter; younger plants here are more abundantly leafy and with larger leaves; sap milky.
