Description
Slenderly branched shrubs...; twigs easily breaking; old bark checked; leaves coriaceous lucid on both sides, entirely flat but often somewhat descending, dark green above, paler beneath; infrutescence terminal, pendulous or nearly so; the berries turning from green to a dull red but finally to a light and then to a deep purple or washy blue and most shining; "Machil".
