Deciduous forest on hilly terrain, Bursera spp. dominant.
Terrestrial herb with tap root, leaves to 25 cm long, each
plant with 1 -2 inflorescences, these erect, the peduncle pale
green, receptacle also, inflorescences discoid, black when
flowering, stamens white. One population of ca. 100
individuals seen on densely shaded forested slope of arroyo.
