School along west side of San Juan Avenue; Port Townsend.

Compacted soil with a mix of gravel and silt; mesic in spring;
with low, sparse, trampled cover of Trifolium spp., Cerastium,
Logfia minima. Small annuals with decumbent stems, most
still with flowers unopened; heads sesssile among upper
leaves, stipules forming false involucre; calyx hairy, teeth
shorter than tube; common weed in vegetated gravel and
adjacent lawn edges.
