"Subalpine" (edaphic!) steppe grassland with rock outcrops and bare loose gravelly soil between tussocks of the dominant Festuca sp., Poa dahurica, with Thymus serpylium, Arenaria, Selaginella, Astragalus, Saxifraga bronchialis, Dianthus versicolor , and many lichens. Top of high cliffs overlooking LAKE BAIKAL at Mys (= Point) Khoboi, the NE-most point of 0STR0V (= Island) OL’KHON. 53°23’N, 107°45’E H. H. litis J. C. Coffey M. F. Denton I. M.
