    Spreading shrubs 2 meters high...; coriaceous leaves usually in whorles at the ends of the twigs, ascending and with reddish petioles; branches crooked, easily breaking; wood hard, bark mottled; infrutescence pendulous from the stems and branches; berries orange red or bright yellowish red; its apex tapering; ripe berries salmon red, goose berry sour; "Balangbang.".
