Dry,lithosolic slopes with often sealed
sandy soils; basement complex derived.
Shrubs,with sparse herbs and grass. Dry
season.
Perennial grass,erect,forming small tuss-
ocks. Great variation in size: from 10-
80 cm tall. Tussock diameter up to 5-6cm.
Stem: node darkbrown to olive green.Leaf:
blade green,long white hairs at transition
blade-sheath; no ligula; margin here (when
-re ligula should be ) reddish. Infloresc<
en<rfd:	Y«llow-yellowgrey,often
Gilbert, *1961 turning redbrown.
