  • Description

    Tree, 25 m x 60 cm; buttresses steep, to 3.5 m; bark whitish, lenticellate, shed in plates, the outer bark thin, the inner bark slightly orangish. Leaves discolorous, shiny, green adaxially, paler green abaxially. Fruits 1(2)-seeded, dehiscent, the seed retained on funicle, cut fruit exudes sticky resin. Seed coat spongy, the outer surface orangish-red, the inner material tannish, with reticulate veins; cotyledons green. About 50 m from start of trail from Route de Bélizon. moist forest.
