Locality Emwetok Atoll, Japtan Island.
Habitat flat coral sand toward inner beach, becoming more and more rocky
toward outer beach and passage; vegetation, much disturbed by :
bombs and bulldozers, is basically a brushy forest of Scaevola, Pi-
sonia, Guetcarda arid Ochrosi^ with some Morinda and scattered
Pandanusj inner portion cleared and planted to coconuts. Very
rare, 2 plants seen on rabble toward out#r beach.
