Habitat:
Mixed dipterocarp forest, associates include
Myrtaceae, Meliaceae, Shorea, Rubiaceae. Red clay
soil.
Field Char:
Tree 12 m tall, 22 cm dbh. Outer bark brown,
cracking along on side, rugose, hooped. Inner bark
reddish-brown. Resin watery, clear, sweet smelling.
Leaves coriaceous, Pellucid gland dots visible to
light. Flowers fasiculate, staminal tube green,
anthers yellow.
Notes:
Local name: Jambu landuk.
