Distribution
Wversitatis Heirate Hierosolymitanae rrnnsn nawnw divisio botanica np’Jiaia1? rip1? no mu PiLiESTWiE eisittiTi hk*1 r»-ps ’nax 312 Viscum cruciatum Sieb. Spreng. Syst. 1:488 (1825). Phytogeögr. value: A South-Mediterranean species. Viscum cruciatum has been known from Palestine and Spain only. It has recently been found also in Morocco. This last occur- rence makes the disjunctive area of distribution of this species some- what less puzzling. In Palestine this semi-parasite is found in mountainous parts, such as Judea, Samaria and Galilee. As against the multiplicity of hosts of this parasite in Spain, in Palestine it attacks only the following, trees: Olea europaea (the chief host), Crataegus Aza- rolus, Robinia pseudoacacia and Prunus Amygdalus. Jerusalem, on Olea europaea, 22. III. 1938. Leg. A. Grizi et E. Jacobovitch. 04392509
