upon limbs of living trees at 3600 feet, upon an open
ridge; items numerously branched, the branchlets lax;
berk brown, checked; leaves coriaceous, ascending, very
smooth on both sides, dark green, irregularly curved upon
the upper side, ascending; fruits rugose, yellowish green
when ripe; flowers odorless, yellowish green but with age
becoming purplish especially on the interior, recurved, 5/4
inch long, the corolla subcoriaeeous, split along the under
side; stamens and pistils dark purple red; Dumaguete, Kay,
1908.
