Spreng. “Chinese fountaingrass” Location: Naturalized in roadside ditch on S side of Dairyland Road (SR 1104), W of Old NC 86 in Calvander, and E of Union Grove Church Rd (SR 1111). Latitude 35.946 Longitude-79.116 +/-5m Notes: I have noted several patches of this on roadsides in Orange County for the first tiijie this summer. The rhizomes are thick and tough. This could be an up and coming nasty weed!
