Fraga CARSON VALLEY MONKEYFLOWER CARSON VALLEY: Southeast of Dresslerville, just west of Indian Creek confluence with east fork Carson River. Locally abundant, thousands of plants. Sandy and gravelly granitic alluvial soil sloping 5°NNW, with Artemisia tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Prunus andersonii, Ephedra viridis, Greeneocharis circumscissa, Camissonia contorta, Mentzelia albicaulis, Gilia modocensis, Descurainia pinnata, Erodium cicutarium, Sisymbrium altissimum, etc. Annuals, corollas deep yellow with blood red spot and markings.
