Locally common. Sandy granitic alluvial soil sloping 5°NNW, with Artemisia tridentata,
Prunus andersonii, Ephedra viridis, Greeneocharis circumscissa, Camissonia contorta,
Mentzelia albicaulis, Gilia modocensis, Descurainia pinnata, Erodium cicutarium, Sisymbrium
altissimum, Eriogonum baileyi baileyi, Calyptridium roseum, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus
viscidiflorus, Layia glandulosa, Gayophytum diffusum, Bromus tectorum, Pleiacanthus
spinosus, etc. Annuals, corollas deep yellow with blood red spot and markings.
