Western Highlands Province; Bismarck Range, Mt. Oibo, ridge
community near Camp 1; low stature montane forest in cloud
zone, tree layer generally s10 m, undergrowth profuse, herb layer
very well developed; colls, this day centered on GPS coordinates
lat. 5 deg. 35.513’ x long. 144 deg. 47.252’, GPS elev. 2357 m at
Camp 1; altimeter readings 2400-2050 m at collection antipodes.
collection sequence 10502-10544; erect subshrubs on logs,
apparently conspecific to 10410 which is monoecious; stems
blue-green, somewhat succulent, glabrous; leaves subfleshy,
adaxial surface dark dull green with linear cystoiiths, abaxially pale
green or glaucescent; venation 3-plinerved, the lateral costae
medial; inflorescence axillary from upper nodes, entirely green;
female inflorescence condensed, not exceeding the petioles;
males elongate, lax, equal to or longer than the leaves.
