Shrub planted in house garden of Don Luis Najamte,
height 80cm, sterile.
N.V.: tampuk (Shuar)
Principal interest: for treating tikiatin, in
which a ball forms in the belly, followed by strong
umbilical pain. Place 3-4 branches of tampuk in 2
liters of water, boiled down 1 liter; drink one cup
every 2-3 hrs. along with 4-5 cc. of juice of tikiatin
ajej; also apply hot compress of ashes in a banana
to abdomen at same time (possible GI cancer agent).
