Borneo. C. Kalimantan. Sintang. HPH Km 70, NE of camp
along main logging road and environs. Growing in open
disturbed primary forest.

Habitat	Alt 100 m
Mixed Dipterocarp forest, associates include: Shorea,
Hopea, Myristicaceae, Fagacaeae. Red clay soil.
Morphology:
Tall tree c. 25 m, 30 cm dbh. Outer bark light grey, mottled
and flaking. Inner bark cream-yellow. Leaves scabrous
beneath, hairs long, shiny above, Stipules 2 cm with long
tufted hairs.
