Dry, gravelly lawn, newly sown with grass seed the previous
fall; with Juncus bufonius, Lepidium didymum, Trifolium
dubium; full sun. Tepals brown, (3.5)4-5 mm; capsules
obtuse, slightly shorter than tepals; flowers in large part
congested near inflorescence branch tips, the branches rather
short; abundant weedy annual, growing intermixed with J.
bufonius var. bufonius. Photographed.
