Field Char: Climbing, adhering with adventitious
roots against trunk of tall tree; up to 15 m
tall. Rich milky latex. Fruit bright orange,
subglobose, 4-5 cm diameter, cauliflorous,
scattered.
Notes: Leaves finely whitish punctate beneath.
Locality: Sumatra: Sekundur Forest Reserve, E.
side of Gunung Leuser Natural Park, Langkat,
Prov. of North Sumatra. Base camp at Aras
Napal, upper Besitang River area.
Habitat: Almost primary mixed forest on
undulating land. Well drained yellow
brown mixed sand-loam soil. Locally
with scattered cf. Orania up to 20 m
tall.
