Distribution
The New York Botanical Garden Moraceae Ficus sp. Det. N.C. Zerega, 2000 Papua New Guinea. Gulf Province: On the Kikori River between Kikori and Kopi. 144° 15’E, 7° 30’ S. Two bushy trees 2m & 5m, hanging over the river. Leaves opposite to subopposite, sometimes in whorls of 3, rough, coriaceous, crenately serrated margins. Fruit, axillary, ~1.5cm diameter, surface yellowish red when immature, red when mature. Inside of fruit white when immature, orangy cream when mature. Seeds, black. Peduncles 1 cm.
