Field Char: Sub-scandent shrub to 7 m tall.
Latex milky. Leaves bright green; older stem
greyish. Fruit bright green to yellow, +/-
ovoid-ellipsoid, c. 3.5 cm long, long-stiped.
Aerial roots.
Locality s Sumatra: Sekundur Forest Reserve, E.
side of Gunung Leuser Natural Park, Langkat,
Prov. of North Sumatra. Base camp at Aras
Napal, upper Besitang River area.
Habitat s Forest margin of primary forest on
undulating land. Well drained
yellow-brown mixed sand-loam soil.
Locally scattered cf. Oraria up to 20
m tall.
