Flora of Montauk Suffolk County, New York CYPERACEAE Carex atlantica L.H. Bailey ssp. capillacea (L.H. Bailey) Reznicek United States of America. New York: Suffolk County. East Hampton Town, hamlet of Montauk, North Neck Preserve, in a red maple blackgum swamp, on edge of intermittent stream in Sphagnum hummock. (41.06726N 071.94582W). Perennial graminoid; Growing with Carex atlantica ssp. atlantica, C. crinita, Nyssa sylvatica, Acer rubrum, Glyceria striata, Sium suavq, Clethra alnifolia, Persicaria arifolia, Cinna sp./ and Decodon verticillatus.
