  • Description

    A sub-scandent and strangling tree climber; stems numerously divided and densely interlaced, tightly surrounding its support, grown together where intercepted; main branches widely spreading, numerously re-branched, the ultimate ones upwardly curved; wood sappy white, soft, without odor or taste, its fine concentric rings plain; bark grayish white, bluntly lenticelled, with latex, leaves horizontal or descending, thinly coriaceous, somewhat paler green beneath, tips recurved and margins more or less wavy; petioles light or yellowish green as in also the mid-nerve, brown at the base also at the top beneath; figs globose, green with the pedicels with minute whitish spots and a dull brown umbilicus; bracts dark brown or at least so fringed or margined.
