On low bank along intermittent stream flowing west
into the Savannah River; between steep, hardwood
slopes. Site #8 (Lat. 34°01f47"; Long. 82°35f15,!),
about 0.5 mile north of County Road 269 and dam
construction site. Below the 475-ft. contour
(full pool for proposed Russell Lake; impoundment
of the Savannah River scheduled for mid-1980fs).
