and organic debris, in a highly disturbed northern hardwood forest of primarily Prunus, Acer,
and Fraxinus, badly damaged by a windstorm (recently?), with open rocky areas and humus
exposures in full sun, along the left (west) side of PA Route #487, southwest of Lake Rose
Visitor Center, north of Red Rock, just south/east of Sullivan County line, Rickets Glenn State
Park. - elev. ca. 2200 ft. - UTM 18 390958E 4575332N - Lat. 41° 19' 20"N, Long. 76° 18’ 10"W
— Assoc, sppTrapeliopsis flexuosa, Trapeliopsis granulosa, Cladonia cristatella.
Thallus terricolous, fruticose, sorediate, UV-, white-gray; primary squamules small, diffuse and
sorediate; podetia thick to thin, tapering, sorediate; apothecia/pycnidia red.
