Primary forest on terra firme, mostly level terrain, deeply dissected by a few large streams; canopy open, as is much of understory. Guadua sarcocarpa beginning to dominate again in places approx. 12 years after dieback.

Tree. Treelet 4 m, corolla dull sulfur-yellow, anthers green. In sun on slope above broad stream. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
