  • Description

    Slender tree, stem 8 inches thick, 25 feet high, numerously branched above the middle; wood yellowish white especially toward the center, moderately hard, odorless and with an indistinct bitterish taste; bark grayish, thinly checked longitudinally, with latex; branches forming an elongated crown and rather dense; leaves entire or obscurely denticulate, recurved and strongly conduplicate on the upper rich green surface, beneath much paler green, the nerves whitish, the petioles curved upwardly, chartaceous; the fruits yellowish brown, mixed with orange red each cluster hanging from yellowish green peduncles, varying from 1 to 3 inches across, conspicuously 2 to 9- rugose. "Caloui".
