Forming pure or almost pure tall forest from
263 to above 2680 m on the crest of a spur
ridge; tree with thick, heavy, straight bole,
heavt short main branches, and ro-ugh, dark brown
bark; leaves recurved; margins, & midrib of
young leaves red; young fruits only.
Eastern Highlands District: Mt. Otto, south slopes , alt. 2680 m.
