Tumacacori National Monument; ca. 45 miles south of
Tucson, east of 1-19. Along the Santa Cruz River with
Nasturtium. Veronica anagallis-aquatica. Mimulus
guttatus. Salix gooddingii. Populus fremontii. Tamarix
chinensis. Juncus bufonius. Polvpogon monsoeliensis.
Baccharis.
River bank with Celtis reticulata. Sarcostemma
cvnachoides. Prosopis velutina and Baccharis
salicifolia: bark of stems green, trunk ca. 1.5 dm in
diameter, gray with shallow scales, straight, branching
ca. dichotomously about 1.5 m above ground; flowers
yellow, banner turning red-brown with age.
