UAHUKA: Vaipae'e: cultivated (?) behind a shack under a grove of Cocos
nucifera some 30 yards from the seawall.
herbs, 75 cm tall with long strap-like leaves, thick, smooth up bo 60 cm long,
green turning whits at the base where it clasps to the pseudo-stem; flower
petals, 10 cm long , white; stamens 6 cm long, white turning green toward the
middle, with corona uniting the stamens toward the bottom; anthers yellow
