  • Description

    A medium sized tree, stem 1½ foot thick, 30 feet high or higher, with main branches arising from about the middle; wood soft, pulpy, white, odorless and tasteless, light; bark relatively thick, smoothish, yellowish gray mottled; the main branches widely spreading, amply rebranched toward the ends; twigs upwardly curved; leaves coriaceous, upon ascending yellowish green peticles, mainly horizontal, nearly flat, slightly darker green on the upper side; young infrutescence subpendulous from below the leaves, dull green;.
