The New York Botanical Garden Sterculiaceae Sterculia foetida L. det. A. S. Roberts, 2011 Cambodia. Kampong Thom Province. Steung Sen. Toul Samroung; on floodplain southeast ofRoka Village, Sanghat Srayov. 10-14 m. Large, non-flooding hillock amid shallowly flooding rice fields. To 15 m tall and 280 cm DBH; new leaves red; flowers red. Rare. Use: Tapped for resin; seldom cut down though large individuals may be used to build roof supports for temples N.
