Sp. ph p. 969.
Phytogeogr. value: A plant of connection of the
Eurosibirian-Boreoamerican — Mediterranean and Irano-Turanian
regions.
In Palestine it is principally a ruderal plant, as it most pro-
bably is in most parts of its area- Its tolerance of different cli-
matic conditions is very great. It is a rather common ruderal
and segetal plant in the Irano-Turanian and Saharo-Sindian
territories of Palestine (probably a special steppical ecotype).
In the Mediterranean parts of the country, on the contrary,
it is less common and is met with only in ruderal habitats.
