  • Description

    Terrestrial clumps; stems several, several feet high, ascending, dark green, terete 1 inch thick, divaricately branched, the branches nodulose at their bases and subtrended by dry persistent sheathes; leaves horizontal with recurved tips, subchartaceous, slightly paler beneath; fruits upon descendingly curved and bracteate stalks, subglobose, 1/2 inch thick pale creamy white; flowers odorless, erect, delicate, white:.
