  • Description

    Scattering perennial herbs; stem few from the same root cluster, erect or ascending, 1 inch thick at the base, a yard or two high, branched from the middle; terete, dark green, quite rigid; branched widely spreading, the basal portion much thickened; leaves horizontal or descending, tips somewhat twisted and recurved, submembrancous, slightly paler green beneath; infrutescence upon ascending flexible, green stalks; fruits globose, less than 1/2 inch in diameter, white when mature and with a rugose blackish brown stone seed;.
