Dujiangyan Municipality (formerly Guan Xian);
Qinglongzui near the site of Longwangmiao, along the
Longxi River. Badly disturbed slopes along narrow
ravines and gorges on sides of the Longxi River valley.
Shrub ca. 1 m tall, fruit turning purple, leaves
glaucous on undersurface. In semi-shaded thicket.
