A. & Smith Urect herb l-2i, high, the stem about 1 cm. diam.; leaves toward apex; inflorescence terminal, forming amass about 9 cm. diam.; calyx green, the tube white; fruit ellipsoid, about 3 x 2 cm., green, becoming orange. TAVEUNI: Hills east of Somosomo, west of old crater occupied by small swamp and lake; alt. 660-900 m.; dense forest. Collected under the auspices of the Smithsonian Institution and the National Science Foundation 04355248
