floriferous meadow on volcanic soil, with Geranium
erianthum, prostrate Salix spp., Hedysarum, Rhododendron
aureum, Veratrum, Phyllodoce, Saussurea, Sanguisorba spp.
etc.
rhizomatous perennial, rhizomes growing in straight line
with attached aerial stems 30-50 cm high
