at entrance to new urbanización of Banco Bisa, ca. 200 m
W of Santa Cruz-Wames highway and just E of the new
urbanización.
17°37’55”S, 63°09’50”W. alt. 370 m.
Sandy savanna with very slight topography, not now grazed
but undoubtedly has been in the past, very likely never
plowed. With Isostigma hoffmannii, Hybanthus calceolaria.
Small tree 5 m. tall, 20 cm. in diameter. Abundant milky
sap. A few green fruits; the leaf galls are similar in size and
shape but bright red and thus more conspicuous.
