The New York Botanical Garden Plants of BOLIVIA Euphorbiaceae Sapium haematospermum Miill. Arg. DEPTO. Santa Cruz, Prov. Andrés Ibáñez, along dirt road at entrance to new urbanización of Banco Bisa, ca. 200 m W of Santa Cruz-Wames highway and just E of the new urbanización. 17°37’55”S, 63°09’50”W. alt. 370 m. Sandy savanna with very slight topography, not now grazed but undoubtedly has been in the past, very likely never plowed. With Isostigma hoffmannii, Hybanthus calceolaria. Small tree 5 m. tall, 20 cm. in diameter. Abundant milky sap. A few green fruits; the leaf galls are similar in size and shape but bright red and thus more conspicuous. Coll.: M.
