Tahuata: Haaoiputeoto. Sunit ridge and highest peak tin the island, Hind swept
crest, 2760 ft. elev. Uith Pandanus, Miscanthus, Hibiscus tiliaceus, Rgeratua
conyzoides, Ficus, Freycinetia, Ipoaoea, Nephrolepis, Bidens, Crossostylis,
Cyathea spp., Psychotria, Rlstonia, Myrsine, Glochidion, Scaevola aarquesensis,
Metrosideros, Cyrtandra feaniana, Cerbera aanghas, Fagraea, Ueinaannia,
Reynoldsia, and Zingiber.
Lon growing sedge scattered on cliffs of East-facing slopes; with flowers and
fruit. Rlso seen were Petrels nesting and flying about, Tropic birds, Fruit doves,
and native snails.
