    South-southwest facing slope. Open community of Pinus contorta, and Populus tremuloides. Associates: Calamagrostis rubescens, Aster integrifolius, Habenaria unalascensis, Calochortus eurycarpus, and Castilleja sp. Plants forming small local population.

    Sts numerous from woody, slender, creeping caudex; flowers medium blue to deep blue-violet. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
