Gallery forest. Bombacaceae, Leguminosae-Mimosoideae,
Myrtaceae and bromeliads dominant. White sand. Tree to
5m. Infructescence terminal panicle. Rachis and base of fruit
bright red. Fruit green turning black at maturity.
