km (air) W of center of Saipina, on road from Saipina to
Aiquile, valley of Rio Aiquile.
18°05’37”S, 64°37’38”W. alt. 1440 m.
Arid slopes 100 m above river, with thorn-scrub, Castela
coccínea, Neoraimondia herzogiana, Browningia caineana,
Bougainvillea berberidifolia, B. campanulata, Lourtella
resinosa.
Same place collected Nee et al. 53721-53724,9 Dec. 2005.
Shrub with much erect, fine branching, to 5 m. tall, main
stem to 8 cm. in diameter. Leaves shiny above, but
becoming glutinous in the press. Only old, dry brown fruit
present.
