Plant rhizomatous. Basal leaves withered at anthesis.
Cauline leaves narrow (<1cm), acute, oblanceoiate.
Pubsecence of stem sparse, in lines decurrent from leaf
bases, not uniform below inflorescences. PhyHaries long and
narrow (4-5mm x 0.7mm), acute-tipped. Pappus tawny, rays
purple.
