Habitat
In sandy deep soil in grassy meadow (dry) with scattered yellow pine and deciduous oaks, very abundants.

Description
Plants glaucous green, rhizomatous, flowers like Malvaeflora, the pistillate deeper in color than the perfect. Of 75 plants studied, all stellate throughout on stems; all but 7 finely stellate on calyx, these few with few coarser hairs intermixed. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
