Common grass growing with Trisetum in meadow;
mostly past fruitingj
Virgin meadow steppe, unplowed, with
scattered birches, the plants 8-20 dm tall,
with Lilium martagon, Aconitum cf. barbatum,
Veratrum nigrum, Helictotrichon pubescens,
Trisetum sibiricum, Dactylis glomerata,
Bromus inermis, Filipendula ulmaria.
b) Grazed or mowed steppe with 4-8 dm tall
forbs or grasses, with Astragalus alopecu-
roides, Potentilla viscosa, Lathyrus
tuberosa, Ligularia glauca.
Mesic to moist meadow steppe with
scattered groves of Betula pendula,Populus ,
ungrazed or partially grazed, with very
black soil, 5-20 dm tall plants depending
on position and topography. Plains 89.2-
89.3 km SSE of Novosibirsk on Hwy to
Barnaul, ca. 7 km S of village of Yevsino.
